Now 215 Representative Offices of Foreign Law Firms in China

According to Notice No. 184 of the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China, up to now, 215 representative offices of foreign law firms in China, including the representative office of Australia Minter Ellison in Beijing, have been approved to practice in China and provide overseas legal services through the 2017 annual inspection.
Foreign representative offices in China are mainly located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Liaoning, Tianjin, Fujian and Zhejiang, among which 203 offices are in Beijing and Shanghai, accounting for 94.42% in China. Representative offices from U.K. and U.S.are the absolute majority among them.
