Jinshan's Flying Car Fuels Shanghai 3D Mobility Vision

The 2025 International Low-Altitude Economy Expo officially opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on July 23rd. The Shanghai Jinshan exhibition area, located at Booth B123 in Hall 4.1, drew large crowds. Among the exhibits, a representative "aircraft," focusing on "future mobility scenarios" and "extreme terrain applications," showcased the potential of the low-altitude economy in urban commuting and specialized operations, becoming a focal point on site.
This flying car, brought by Nanjing Skyway Flying Car Technology Co., Ltd., differs from traditional "aircraft." It blends "household use + flight" concepts, featuring an SUV-like appearance while incorporating cutting-edge technologies like pure electric propulsion and multi-rotor aircraft systems.
In ground driving mode, the vehicle boasts a range of 550 kilometers, suitable for urban commuting and short trips. When switched to flight mode, the aircraft module, built on a skateboard-style shared chassis structure, detaches from the base and takes off vertically (VTOL). With a flight range of approximately 20 to 30 kilometers, it promises a future "ground-air integrated" three-dimensional commute for urban residents.
This flying car has completed the manufacturing and real-world testing of a 1:1 prototype, demonstrating capabilities for both road driving and low-altitude flight. It is positioned as a household vehicle for future mass-market adoption. Additionally, the company is actively exploring the feasibility of implementing the shared chassis concept in urban mobility.
The development of Jinshan's low-altitude economy, evolving from initial functional planning to today's industrial clustering and technological breakthroughs, has been continuously fueled by the "core engine" – the East China UAV Base. Now, with the completion of the base's new facility, a comprehensive takeoff and landing hub integrating R&D, manufacturing, flight testing, inspection/certification, training, and incubation is rapidly taking shape. Benefiting from this increasingly functional platform system, more and more promising companies will choose Jinshan for their "maiden flights, premier exhibitions, and product launches," achieving the critical leap from technological validation to market implementation. Jinshan will also fulfill its role as Shanghai's primary hub for high-quality development in the low-altitude economy industry, committed to building a comprehensive industrial demonstration and leading zone for the low-altitude economy cluster.
