Notice of the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Finance on Lowering the Social Insurance Contribution Rates in Beijing Municipality by Phase
(No. 98 [2016] of the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau)
The human resources and social security bureaus and finance bureaus in all districts; the Personnel, Labor and Social Security Bureau and the Finance Bureau of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area; all social insurance agencies; and all relevant insurance participating entities:
In order to implement the requirements of the state on lowering the social insurance contribution rates by phase, with the approval of the municipal government, the social insurance contribution rates in Beijing Municipality shall be lowered by phase as of May 1, 2016. You are hereby notified of relevant issues as follows:
I. The rate of basic pension insurance contribution for enterprise employees of Beijing Municipality shall be adjusted from 28% to 27%, and the reduction shall be valid for two years for the time being. In particular, enterprises' contribution rate shall be adjusted from 20% to 19%, while the individuals' contribution rate shall remain unchanged.
II. The unemployment insurance contribution rate in Beijing Municipality shall be adjusted from 1.2% to 1%, and the reduction shall be valid for two years for the time being. In particular, enterprises' contribution rate shall be adjusted from 1% to 0.8%, while the individuals' contribution rate shall remain unchanged.
