Jinshan Marks Twin Project Milestones

In a significant development, two major projects in Jinshan District have reached key milestones: the Syngenta Crop Protection Technology & Engineering Shanghai Lab was inaugurated with its first employees arriving, while the Lexus office building simultaneously commenced operations, welcoming around 80 initial staff who will undertake R&D, production, and sales functions.
The Syngenta lab progressed from renovation to full operation within just a few months, accelerating crop protection research and laying the foundation for regional agricultural technology innovation chains. The Lexus new energy project, which broke ground in June this year, is progressing steadily with expected completion by August 2026 and operational launch in 2027. By next April, the office is projected to host approximately 280 employees. This project represents a crucial component of Toyota's electrification strategy, with registered capital of 107.1 billion yen and covering about 1.13 million square meters.
The simultaneous advancement of these two projects demonstrates both the speed and quality of Jinshan's project development, attributable to its efficient service guarantee system. In recent years, Jinshan has adhered to the principle of "projects as the priority, industries as the core," implementing a three-tier model for the Lexus project featuring "municipal task force coordination, district task force follow-up, and dedicated service representatives," while pioneering a dual-track mechanism of "project butler + departmental task forces" for the Syngenta initiative to streamline industrial chains through service chains.
Currently, Jinshan District is focusing on the "Northern-Southern Transformation" strategy, deepening reforms and expanding openness to drive the integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation. Projects like Syngenta and Lexus are injecting momentum into Jinshan's high-quality development, anchoring the city's future direction.
