Low-Altitude Economy: New Chapter of Shanghai-Hong Kong Collaboration Launched in Jinshan

 2025-10-28  8

Recently, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Cooperation Low-Altitude Economy Jinshan Exchange and Discussion Event was held at the Shanghai Bay High-Tech Zone. Representatives from low-altitude economy-related enterprises and investment institutions in Hong Kong and Jinshan gathered in Jinshan, Shanghai, to discuss new opportunities for low-altitude economy cooperation and join hands to write a new chapter in Shanghai-Hong Kong cooperation.

At the event, a number of UAV enterprises and industrial chain companies shared the latest products and business directions in the low-altitude economy. Some enterprises conducted project roadshows, with on-site comments provided by investment institutions and industry experts. Participants also visited the exhibition hall of the East China UAV Base to gain an in-depth understanding of Jinshan's achievements in low-altitude economy industrial chain construction, policy support and future planning.

In recent years, relying on the East China UAV Base, Jinshan District has accelerated the layout of the entire low-altitude economy industrial chain. It has gathered more than 60 upstream and downstream enterprises, forming a complete system from R&D and design to testing and application. Currently, 1,370 square kilometers of cross-provincial airspace have been opened up here, 8 take-off and landing routes have been built, and over 20 application scenarios such as island logistics, fire emergency response and manned flight are being accelerated for implementation, with a total of more than 230,000 flight sorties.

As a global hub for finance, shipping and technological innovation, Hong Kong is actively deploying the low-altitude economy industry, launching a "regulatory sandbox" pilot project to explore the first-mover trials of policies and technologies.

Jinshan boasts a sound industrial foundation and test flight environment, while Hong Kong has an international platform and capital advantages. This Shanghai-Hong Kong cooperation is based on such complementary advantages. It has built a new platform for the coordinated development of the low-altitude economy in the two places and injected new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional low-altitude economy.
