Announcement of the Shanghai Clearing House on Amending the Operating Guidelines for the Settlement of Bond Transactions and the Business Guidelines for the Registration, Custody, Clearing and Settlement of Cross-Border Bonds in the China(Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone

In order to support the adjustment of the People's Bank of China to the operation time of the large payment system, the Shanghai Clearing House (“SHCH”) has decided to adjust the deadline for the full-amount DVP settlement of bonds, the proactive withdrawal of funds from the integrated business system, and the daily batch refunds to 17:00 as of January 22, 2018. Accordingly, the SHCH has revised the Operating Guidelines for the Settlement of Bond Transactions and the Business Guidelines for the Registration, Custody, Clearing and Settlement of Cross-Border Bonds in the China(Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (in both Chinese and English), which are hereby issued.
The former Operating Guidelines for the Settlement of Bond Transactions (issued by Announcement No. 15 [2014], SHCH) and the Business Guidelines for the Registration, Custody, Clearing and Settlement of Cross-Border Bonds in the China(Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (issued by Announcement No. 54 [2016], SHCH) shall be repealed concurrently.
