Chinese, Indonesian police crack telecom fraud group
A group of 105 suspects in a telecommunication fraud investigation have been deported to China from Indonesia as part of a cross-border law enforcement effort, according to an announcement by the public security bureau in Tianjin.
The suspects were arrested last month by Indonesian authorities in Bali. They are alleged to have been involved in more than 200 incidents of fraud, with more than 10 million yuan claimed to have been taken from victims across China.
