Youth Power, Future Economy: Jinshan Ignites Yangtze River Delta Youth Development

 2026-02-04  13

On February 1, the Yangtze River Delta Youth Economic Development Event, themed "Youth Embracing 'New' Dynamics, Gathering Strength for Student Economy and Creating the Future," kicked off in Jinshan District. The event showcased the "two-way pursuit" between youth and the city, creating an energetic youth hub integrating consumption, cultural creativity, and experiential activities.

The venue featured renowned and specialty products from Jinshan and Lu'an City in Anhui Province, alongside youth cultural creations and handmade crafts. Interactive experience zones, including pickleball, intangible cultural heritage phoenix painting, and 3D printing, attracted a large number of university students and young entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the "Bay Area Offers Delights, Youth Brings Vibrancy" Youth Economic Feature Scene was officially inaugurated. This space will continue to develop into a composite venue combining regular marketplaces, creative workshops, and consumer experiences, aiming to transform youth engagement into momentum for regional development.

In recent years, Jinshan District has actively worked toward building a youth-friendly city by establishing low-barrier, highly interactive platforms for practical engagement. These initiatives support young people in transforming academic expertise into business ventures, drive the upgrade of consumption models toward experiential, interactive, and community-oriented approaches, and inject youthful vitality into regional development.

Located in the southwest of Shanghai, Jinshan District boasts coastal scenery and a rich cultural heritage. It welcomes youth with an open and inclusive attitude to start businesses, settle down, and explore. As a key node in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, Jinshan serves as fertile ground for young talents to realize their dreams. Moving forward, the district will continue to optimize its youth-friendly ecosystem, creating more high-quality consumption scenes and entrepreneurial platforms, fostering mutual growth and shared brilliance between youth and the city.
